Jefferson County is located in the extreme western part of Washington State.  This county sports some of the most interesting geographical areas in the state and is home to Port Townsend, a Victorian town that draws visitors from all over the country.  One of the best kept secrets about Jefferson County is its fishing.  It offers coastal, lake, river and even some interesting pond fishing throughout the county.  Most spots are easy to access and many offer an abundance of fish.  Here are some of the best known places to angle in this beautiful, historic area. Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, located on the west side of the Cascades, is one of the most visited forests in the United Mt. Reminder that Marine Area 10 is Closed

There are plenty of places in Washington State to fish for salmon, but there is at least one place NOT to fish for salmon.  The recreational salmon fishery in Marine Area 10 closed October 18th.
