Bassett’s fish finder HUD is as much Top Gun as it is Bassmaster

In the last two weeks we’ve come across not one, but two Kickstarters we absolutely loved. Intriguingly, the projects are (somewhat) related: two variations on the theme of fish-finding sonar.

On its own that’s not so surprising. Innovative, eye-popping tech is the bread and butter of Kickstarter, and no other fishing gear fits that bill like sonar. What is surprising is the different ways these two inventors have improved on a technology seemingly at its apex. What can you possibly do to make fish finders better? They’re the definition of convenience.
